Herman the friendship cake

Today we created the 'bug' for Herman our friendship cake. We Learnt that the scientific name for yeast is saccharamyces cerevisiae. We also found out that yeast is an active organism. Herman is currently going through the fermentation process. We have to stir him and feed him to keep him alive. In 10 days we will be able to divide the 'bug' and share it. We will then bake our very own cake!

Day 1:
